Welcome to PG Listings.ca and my new blog channel.  I hope to routinely update this blog with new content focused on developments at PG Listings, as well as tips regarding home staging and of course photography.  Before I get into any of that, I would like to describe what PG Listings.ca is.  This website and the service offered by PG Listings is in essence three things: It is an option for agents to help market and sell homes in the city.  It is also a competitive advantage when presenting to home owners. Finally, it is an advertising and social media platform for clients.

The first and most obvious function of PG Listings, and all real estate photography, is to help sell the home.  Ultimately, the images the agents present online or in print MUST justify the asking price of the home.  If they do not, a percentage of people will ignore it and move on to better looking pastures, especially in a buyer’s market.  Hiring a professional photographer to provide agents with high quality, high resolution prints is a great step toward effective marketing of a home, resulting in happier clients and better overall presentation.  PG Listings provides agents with great images, and an accompanying voice over for the show, which is part of our easy to use database, making the search for a new home in the city much more pleasant.

Second, PG Listings is a competitive advantage for client agents who offer the service up front during presentations.  Many home owners choose to meet with several agents when making the decision to sell their home, and often the services presented vary only a little.  Hiring a photographer to come into the home not only impresses home owners every time, it also lets them know that the agent that they are dealing with is serious about marketing their home.  PG Listings also provides client agents with a valuable leave behind brochure for home owners to review, detailing the service we provide.  Let’s face it, the overwhelming majority of homes in this city are marketed with pictures taken from a point and shoot camera, or worse, a cell phone, so when agents offer our service as part of their own in a competitive situation, they get results, and they get listings.

Third, this website is all about networking and recognizing our clients as the best in the city when it comes to marketing real estate.  If one were to google ‘prince george real estate’ they would find that PG Listings.ca is number one.  I have worked very hard over the past year to establish this position because being number one on Google is critical is several ways.  One, it provides the business with relevant appeal and adds a degree professional authenticity.  Two, I wanted consumers to find the site easily and being number one is, well, easiest.  Three, being number one means that all of the links that my clients have link to their own websites, with the end result being the improvement of many of my clients’ web pages over the past year.  One client in particular jumped onto page one shortly after PG Listings.ca, which is a great additional benefit to clients.

Social networking online as part of an advertising campaign has existed in major centers for some time, and is just now creeping into Prince George.  PG Listings takes care of this for our clients by posting all of our shows on Facebook, You Tube, and Twitter.  Currently, there are 130 people watching new listings on Facebook, and our You Tube channel receives numerous hits per day as well.  When the show is created, it is Tweeted, and the link is sent off to the NREB for hook up to the official MLS listing.

In summary, PG Listings is much more than just ‘good pictures’, it is a system that can be utilized to enhance an agents image, increase their personal web site rank, increase their competitive success rate, strengthen their online marketing, and most importantly, get phone calls, showings, and SALES!
